Eligibility for Undergraduate Arts Programs in Mithibai College:
- A candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (Std. XII) examination conducted by the Maharashtra/ other Indian State Boards or equivalent examination.

- As per University of Mumbai, candidate for being eligible for admission to the course leading to the degree of Master of Arts must have passed the examination for the degree of Bachelor of Arts (three year integrated course) of this University or the degree of Bachelor of Arts (Old that is four year course) of this University or a degree of another University recognized as equivalent thereto.
- Students from outside the University of Mumbai will be admitted subject to their obtaining a provisional eligibility certificate from the Eligibility Section of the University of Mumbai for the M.A. [Economics] course. For purpose of obtaining eligibility, candidates have to submit all the documents required by the eligibility section in stipulated time else their names may not be considered for admission.
