BMS College of Engineering, Bangalore

BMS College of Engineering is One of the first and leading private sector colleges in the field of engineering in India that was established by Late Sri. B. M. Sreenivasaiah who was a great philanthropist and visionary in 1946 in the green city of India – Bangalore. A college that was started with only 3 undergraduate programs now after a period of 74 years of completion has an academic department in under graduation, post-graduation, and doctorate level programs. Today, the college has around thirteen courses to offer at the level of under graduation and sixteen courses at the level of post-graduation. There are various departments in the organization out of which 14 departments are accredited to be Research Centers where programs related to M. Sc/ PhD in degrees in Engineering, Science and Management are conducted. BMSCE has obtained a ranking of 69 by NIRF in 2019 and ranked 40 out of 150 in Outlook India’s top engineering colleges to study in India. India Today gave a rank of 24 in 2020 to the organization. The college is accredited by NAAC with A++ grade. The college has been affiliated with the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU). The college has a practice of imparting education that is based on the outcome. The strength of the college is its student base which is the largest amongst all colleges in Karnataka. There are about 5000 students in the college at a time for pursuing their studies. In the 14 research centers developed by the college, there are about 350 scholars that pursue research studies pursuing their PhD. BMSCE provides not only good education but also facilitates good infrastructure and great learning facilities which eventually leads to producing students that are industry ready.
